Crime is a general term for acting harmful to some individual or even the community. Such these acts are punishable by law. Depending on the type of crime, the criminal will be punished if convicted. For serious crimes, death penalty, or execution, might be the punishment. There are different ways of execution that are used to execute the serious criminals, which might be a good deterrent.
Crucifixion is one of the painful ways of execution as it might take hours to even days. It's done by tie the prisoner to a large wooden cross, hoisted off the ground and left to hang until dead.
Lethal injection is one of the commonest ways to execute the criminals in United States. It's done by injecting a fatal dose of drugs for the express purpose of causing the immediate death of the subject. It's considered less painful than gas chamber, firing squad and electrocution.
Anyway, execution might be unacceptable for many people. But on the other hand, it might be a strong deterrent, even though it costs a lot of money which can be prevented by sentence the serious criminals to life in prison.
